What it is

Amazon Pharmacy is a mail-order pharmacy offering prescription delivery, often with significant discounts for Prime members and the uninsured. Acquired via PillPack in 2018. It has your complete prescription history, insurance information, and health conditions.

Honest assessment

Amazon Pharmacy's pricing is genuinely competitive, especially for generics. But your prescription history is among the most sensitive data you have — it reveals chronic conditions, mental health treatment, and health vulnerabilities. Amazon's terms permit using this data for advertising. Cost Plus Drugs (Mark Cuban's pharmacy) offers similar pricing with far better privacy practices.
